OmniHemEi (OmniHemEI Health Intelligence Private Limited) is a research-driven deep-tech company based in Kolkata, India. It works across AI-powered healthcare diagnostics, predictive health informatics and education through two divisions: EdTech programmes that build practical AI, data and bioinformatics skills, and a consultancy that applies the same expertise to hospital, lab and research projects.
OmniHemEi was founded by three co-founders, who are also its directors: Dr. Prathit Chatterjee, research lead, a computational scientist specialising in data-driven drug discovery; Dr. Nilotpal Banerjee, healthcare lead, Lab Director and Infection Control Officer at Spandan Hospital, Kolkata, and a scientist at AIIMS Kalyani; and Aakash Adhya, technical lead. Pritha Chatterjee leads outreach.

The 18-month diploma is organised by Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, in association with Spandan Hospital and OmniHemEi. Our first research series, Context-Aware Haematological Intelligence, uses machine learning on routine blood tests and patient context to read anaemia more accurately. Three manuscripts are in preparation, covering iron biomarkers, anaemia in chronic kidney disease, and telling thalassaemia apart from iron-deficiency anaemia. See the research.
